What to expect at a Trunk Show

We usually carry only a handful of designs by Berta; but at our Trunk Show you will have the chance to browse over 30 looks from her collections. - before they are available in our Emporium. You will have a consolation with one of our Expert Stylists, they will personally assess your wedding style, figure and recommend the best gowns from the collection. Your Expert Stylist may offer special pricing and incentives on orders placed during the Trunk Show. 


START DREAMING
Wearing a Berta gown is like no other feeling, the cut and design of her dresses have gained her world- renowned fame. Start a wish list and get a sense of which styles appeal to you and fall within your budget.


BOOK EARLY
Trunk Shows are by appointment only and fill up fast. So don't wait to reserve your slot. Out last Berta Trunk Show booked out within weeks of the release date.


BRING YOUR NEAREST & DEAREST
Bring one of two people with you whom you trust and who know you well. Resist the urge to have a larger entourage accompany you - too many opinions can get confusing.


BE PREPARED TO SAY YES
Be prepared to make a purchase in case you find "the dress" in order to take advantage of possible show discounts. But don't feel pressured to make a decision if you aren't 100%.


FINISH THE LOOK
You won't see this gown again till it arrives close to your wedding date. Make sure to finish the look while you are in your gown! Try veils, headpieces and jewellery.

RC - How did you meet Scooter?
We met around 10 years ago through a mutual friend. We got along really well and I remember thinking to myself "this guy is something special" but we were both seeing other people at the time. Coincidently though, a couple of months later we both ended our respective relationships and on Valentine's Day 2007, Scooter sent me a single red rose with a note saying "i hope this makes your day xo". It was the sweetest thing anyone had ever done for me. We took it from there and now here we are today, husband and wife!


RC - How did Scooter propose?
On our first overseas holiday together we visited New York City and instantly fell in love. I had always wanted to see Grand Central Station and when we entered the main concourse we both felt an unexplainable connection to it. Fast forward 2 years and we were back with a group of friends and with a bit of help from them all, Scooter got down on one knee in the middle of Grand Central Station and asked me to marry him! It was such an amazing moment, I will never forget it.


RC - Is there a particular reason as to why you chose your venue?
We always wanted a venue surrounded by nature where we could host both the ceremony and reception along with accommodation for the bridal party onsite. It was quite a specific vision, a convenient all in one venue, so when we visited Mount View Estate in Yarra Junction we were absolutely blown away and knew in an instant that we had found the perfect place to host our wedding. It had the most stunning view with a really unique (yet slightly terrifying) aisle, topped off with a pool and the most beautiful house where we could stay overnight and get ready on the day. It ticked all of the boxes and then some!


RC - Your favourite part of the wedding?
I honestly loved the entire day! But if I had to choose my favourite part, it was walking down the aisle with my mum, surrounded by our amazing friends and family and seeing my soon to be husband waiting for me under the arch.


RC - How did the dress make you feel?
I chose the beautiful Pradera dress by Pronovias from the Brunswick emporium. I loved every single inch of the dress especially the lace detailing in the back. It was stunning and I felt so incredible in it.


RC - How was your bridal shopping experience?
I tried dresses on in both the Armadale and Brunswick stores and the staff were so amazing! They were really knowledgable, friendly and helpful and I felt really welcome. The alteration staff were equally as incredible, being really flexible around my work schedule and fitting the dress to me perfectly. Thank you RC!

RC - Tips for brides-to-be!
1. Keep a list and tick off the big things first.
2. Try not to stress and trust your wedding vendors, because everything will fall into place.
3. Remember to take a step back and enjoy your day!
